BTL import

AMD machines with the designation BTL can be programmed quickly and easily. BTL is a worldwide successful standardised format for CAD models in timber construction, timber frame construction, roofs, log cabins and timber structures.
Common CAD packages can export models of buildings and structures as BTL (e.g. SEMA, CADWORK, HSBCAD).

All that’s left for you to do is load the BTL file of the timber structure into the software supplied with your machine. The software recognises all the parts of a structure to be produced and the operations required and in a few mouse clicks, your machine is programmed. This means huge time savings, the prevention of errors and increased product accuracy compared to the manual programming of machines.

In addition, the AMD BTL import software is equipped with numerous additional functions to save you time and optimise your production. One such feature is the automatic nesting of your projects. You simply indicate the dimensions you have in stock and the software will determine the parts you need to produce and the materials to use to minimise wood waste.
