AMD machines with indication BTL can be programmed quickly and easily. BTL is a worldwide successful standardised format for CAD models in timber construction, timber framing, roofs, log cabins and timber structures.
Common CAD packages can export models of buildings and structures as BTL (e.g. SEMA, CADWORK, HSBCAD).
All that’s then left to do, is to load the BTL file of the wood structure into the software supplied with your machine. The software recognises all the parts of a structure and the operations required, and with a few mouse clicks your machine is programmed. This means huge time savings, error avoidance and increased product accuracy versus manually programming machines.
In addition, the AMD BTL import software is equipped with numerous additional functions to save you time and optimise your production. One such feature is the automatic nesting of your projects. You simply indicate which dimensions of raw wood you have in stock, and the machine automatically determines which components should be machined from what raw stock to minimize wood waste.
The software selects the tool for the operations, and provides you with an overview of which tools to be installed on the machine. This eliminates errors and delays, and guarantees an impeccable final product flawless results.
